A brief synopsis
”Stay or go, work” comes within the project A (irpo) RT Reloaded 2007, as the product of an artist in residence Hirschfeld, a small village of Hunsrück in Germany. The place of residence is a few kilometers from Frankfurt Hahn. Trying to bring out the views of those who live the airport not as a place of arrivals / departures but as part of their daily lives, the video draws a 7 interviews done with people working in various roles covering.
They responded to questions like "what is the angle at the airport where you like to spend your break from work?", "What affects you along the road leading to the airport?" Or questions about personal aspirations and dreams related to their work.
The stories have been translated into short situations, connected by a path that takes place over one day, the awakening of the aircraft, their first movements, the stage of takeoff and flight. Every place, every object, every detail in the video, apparently random and deliberately not declared, referring to concrete experiences of those who worked at the airport, is part of that network of connections that make possible the flight of these huge machines with wings .
